Salwa Suliman from The Tissue Engineering Research Group received NOK 8,000,000 (three-year project) from the Research Council of Norway (NFR funds).

These are funds awarded to research projects for young talents under the theme Pioneering Research (FRIPRO). The funding is intended to give young talented researchers the opportunity to follow their ideas and lead to research projects.

Of a national pot of NOK 2.65 billion, UiB received 271 million on 16 December 2020. These funds were distributed to 27 projects (out of 2363 applications) at UiB.
