Jannika Paulamäki, 1st winner of the Rapid-Fire Poster Competition from the Scandinavian Society of Biomaterials

Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials 2019 Conference was organized in Långvik, Finland. The three-day conference was attended by some 100 people and 28 presentations were given internationally from Singapore all the way to Colorado. Conference also held a poster session showing 58 posters.

The Rapid-Fire Poster Competition at ScSB 2019 Conference invited eight highest ranking abstracts, apart from the oral presentations, as rated by the peer-reviewers. It gave an opportunity for the presenters to pitch their posters using slides in three minutes to the audience, which was followed by a poster session and discussion evaluation by a panel of judges. The competition was sponsored by MDPI Applied Sciences, awarding first, second and third prizes of €250, €200 and €150 to the top three presenters. The first prize winner also has the opportunity to publish an article for free in the journal, and the second and third prize winners for a 50% discount.
