Astrid Bjørke Jenssen, a PhD candidate in the MRCRM research group led by Stian K. Almeland, participated in the 20th EBA Congress in Nantes, France, from September 6th to 9th, 2023. Her research, part of the Burn Wound project, focuses on the use of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) for burn wound healing, specifically exploring the effectiveness of using a fibrin spray to deliver these cells topically. During the conference, Astrid presented her findings in a poster session, where her presentation was awarded the best poster presentation. The study aims to evaluate the feasibility of using a fibrin spray as a method for applying bone marrow-derived MSCs to burn wounds.
She is involved into recent EU-Funded Cellu4Heal Project to Revolutionize Burn Wound Healing
