On Friday 28 August, Cecilie Gjerde Berge defended her PhD dissertation at the University of Bergen with the title “Autologous stem cells as a promising therapeutic approach for augmentation of alveolar bone”. The dissertation was conducted digitally and the opponents were physically in Sweden and Finland, respectively. This was IKO’s first digital disputation, and everything technical worked great! The audience logged in via the link and followed the disputation via their own screen.
